R/P with "Go for the Eyes!"
Hi. I am looking for the R/P build "Go for the Eyes" and Barrage with some explanation of usage. I've got all campaigns. I'm planning to use it with discordway/sabway. I've heard that this build is good for DPS (Better DPS than A/R with high chance for crit), but I couldn't find it on pvxwiki.

For discord,incendiary arrows and then apply poison/barbed arrows is a better bet. You can also use 'I Am The Strongest' instead of GFTE! and not waste a primary.

I am actually just working on a Ranger/Paragon that utilizes Barrage and Command Shouts. PvX has both builds listed.

At any rate, I am using a modified form of that build. Which roughly means I am using Barrage. I am not much for interrupts so I am using Keen Arrow and Go For Their Eyes! along with Volley, until I get Barrage. Let me know what you come up with, and I will do the same.
While Barrage isn't the best skill in game, I think it's ability to work with many other options makes it a great utility attack and look forward to experimenting with different options.

Keep in mind that each arrow shot from barrage counts as a separate attack.
I.E. Only the enemy you're targeting will have an increased chance of a critical, the rest of the arrows in the batch will only have their natural crit chance.
If you're looking for barrage synergy, go for skills that don't end after the first attack, such as Ele Conjure skills or Splinter weapon.

Discordway has got splinter weapon I think, and sabway has got it. I want to improve that regular B/P. I use "I am the strongest, Great Dwarf Weapon (I usually walk with other barrager). Well, I'm looking for something other than just regular barrager, which I play for over 3 years.

I was thinking about it today, Coz i made a new ranger with an friend.
i made these 3 up.

Savage shot

I am the strongest
favorable winds
summon spirits
splinter weapon

but i forgot that sabway and discord alrdy use splinter. So i'm now thinking about this.

thats 6/8 . So what to put in it? Favorable Winds? but withotu summon spirits Or "I am the strongest" ? or Savage shot? I dunno! Help^^ And what do you think of this setup?

Okay, here is what I gathered so far experimenting with Ranger/Paragon. Most good command skills use Energy. Which isn't great for Ranger. The ones that do use Adrenaline work with 1 attack, and therefore do not synergize with Barrage. Now for the ones that use Energy, they usually give additional armor. Which I cannot help but feel is pointless compared to "Save Yourselves!"
Same with Tactics, really only good for adding bonus armor which can easily be accomplished with Save Yourselves!
I cannot wait for the skill update if it includes drastic changes to Tactics, Motivation or Command. Until then, it seems either use Save Yourselves! or Ritualist secondary.
For Rt secondary, I was thinking of not only using Splinter Weapon, but also use Summoning Spirits in conjunction with Favorable Winds and Winnowing. That and a Vamp bow yields an additional +15 damage. 5 of which I know is armor ignoring.

What I don't get is that the build on PvXwiki has [["Go for the Eyes!" (PvE)] as an optional "to increase damage and chance of crit", but then on GuildWiki, it says "The bonus only applies for the first strike of multiple-hit skills such as Barrage and Cyclone Axe." So whats the point?
What I usually see Barrage Rangers carry on themselves to improve damage are [[Favorable Winds], [[Winnowing], [[Splinter Weapon (PvE)], and [[Anthem of Envy]. Outside sources I see are , [[Order of the Vampire], [[Order of Pain], and [[Mark of Pain] which can trigger multiple times at once from Splinter Weapon.

bit surpised I didn't see the Gfte + keen arrow combo here..
I'd recommend it though, makes sure you'll have some lolz during ur gameplay (basically thesame as ebon vanguard sniper support, but you'll have the additional dmg more often.)
